Shannon writes and illustrates fun and meaningful children’s stories starring animal characters. Her stories have inspiring messages of happiness, self-worth, adventure, thoughtfulness, nature, faith and purpose. She can often be found outside sketching animals she sees around the forests near her home. She explains…

"There is something inspirational and almost magical that happens when you walk through a forest and be with nature. A story is created in my mind with incredible detail and purpose, and the challenge is finding a way to put that story to paper in both writing and illustrating. It is a passion that I enjoy every single day, and my happiness comes from seeing children smile when reading my stories.”

Shannon also enjoys spending time with family and friends and being outside in nature. She is working on many new projects and is looking forward to meeting people this coming year.

JACK’S NATURAL DOG PRODUCTS

In 2019 Shannon started Jack’s Natural Dog Products. Shannon started the business when she created homemade natural dog treats that she couldn’t find in stores. Soon people started asking to buy these treats for their dogs and thus the business was born. Shannon also began selling homemade paw balm and dog toys all made from natural materials. While Shannon still sells these products, her passion is writing and illustrating books for children.

JACK’S SAFE READING MISSION

in 2026 Shannon started Jack’s Safe-Reading Mission which creates, and distributes age-appropriate books to children. Shannon believes it is important to protect children from accessing mature content and therefore all of her books are acceptable for young audiences and people of any age.
